Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LumenCairn, LLC, doing business as Rinkaura ("Rinkaura," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Rinkaura.

Accounts and eligibility

Rinkaura is a general-audience skating and hockey discovery service. Accounts are available only to people age 18 or older. We collect account information such as your name, email address, authentication credentials, and account settings.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Rinkaura, we may collect:

• Account and profile information.
• Saved rinks, sessions, alerts, preferences, activity, and support messages.
• Optional ZIP code, search area, or device location.
• Subscription status and billing identifiers. Stripe processes payment-card information; Rinkaura does not receive your full card number.
• Device, browser, diagnostic, security, and product-usage information.
• Limited information an adult enters in Family Profiles, such as a first name or nickname, relationship, skate size, skill level, and optional birth year.
• Information submitted through reviews, corrections, team claims, team coordination, or other community features.

Do not put medical information, school information, contact information for a minor, full birthdates, or other sensitive information in Family Profiles.

Location

Device location is optional. If you choose it, Rinkaura uses your device location to show nearby rinks and sessions. You may enter a ZIP code instead. Denying location permission does not prevent account creation or general use of Rinkaura.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Operate, secure, and maintain Rinkaura.
• Authenticate accounts and prevent misuse.
• Personalize rink, program, team, and session discovery.
• Save information and preferences you request.
• Deliver service alerts that you enable.
• Provide support and process corrections or reports.
• Operate Pro trials and subscriptions.
• Measure reliability and understand how Rinkaura is used.
• Comply with law and protect users, Rinkaura, and others.

At launch, Rinkaura does not send promotional email or promotional push notifications and does not use account information for targeted advertising.

Service providers and sharing

Rinkaura uses service providers to operate the product. These include Base44 for application hosting, authentication, data storage, backend functions, and platform services, and Stripe for web subscription billing and customer-portal services. Rinkaura may also use mapping or geocoding, email delivery, storage, and limited product analytics services.

We may share information with service providers only as reasonably necessary to perform services for us; when you direct us to share it; to complete a transaction; to comply with law; or to protect rights, safety, and security. We do not sell account information.

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Rinkaura, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and enforce agreements. You may delete individual Family Profiles and may request account deletion through the app or by contacting Support. Account deletion removes user-controlled profile and family data from active application records, subject to limited backups, security records, transaction records, or other information we must retain for legitimate business or legal purposes.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your choices

You may decline device location, use ZIP code entry, leave interests unselected, control individual service alerts, manage or cancel a subscription, update account information, and request account deletion. You may also contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of information associated with your account, subject to verification and applicable law.

Children and family information

Children and teens may not create Rinkaura accounts. Adults may provide limited information about household members through Family Profiles. See the Family and Children's Privacy Notice for more information.

Changes

We may update this Policy as Rinkaura changes. We will post the effective version in the Legal Center. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide an appropriate notice and request renewed acknowledgment when warranted.
